Here at Il Papavero we believe that holiday in a vacation rental apartment in the Maremma shouldn’t be just a vacation like any other, but a perfect blend of tourism and nature. We strongly believe in this philosophy and to that end we’ve taken steps to ensure that balance.
Country living and renewable energy sources go hand in hand.
We have undertaken a series of measures designed to reduce our environmental impact, from the selection of Class A appliances to double-glazed windows, from recycling of agricultural waste to the installation in 2008 of a wood-burning stove and, in 2009, of solar panels for heating water. Most recently, in 2010, we have installed additional solar panels for the production of electricity.
